Reid ensured Newtown’s victory over Rugby was a near one man show, pummelling 137 in his side’s total of 209.
Proving his dominance, no other Tigers player made 20.
Mitch Rosenbaum took 3-20 for Rugby, a side which struggled to build partnerships in the run chase.
In the end they were restricted to 9-165 from their 40 overs, signalling the side’s first loss for the season.
Greg Kerr took 3-24 in the win.
At Lady Cutler 2, the grand final rematch between RSL-Colts and CYMS finished all square.
The Cougars posted 135 batting first, with Heath Larance’s patient 37 the top score while Nathan Jones took 3-30 with the ball.
It was slow going in reply but Colts remained on target and were looking good at 4-86.
But James Nelson (4-18) and Lochie Endacott (3-22) got CYMS back in the contest and then Cal Braithwaite (2-33) held his nerve in the final over and removed Nathan Jones (18) with the scores level.
Colts were involved in a tie with Macquarie last season.
On Saturday, Macquarie knocked over South Dubbo with relative ease.
Patis was the star, bagging 5-22 from 7.1 overs as Souths was dismissed for 137, with Ed Knight’s 58 the top score.
Rich Hawker made 46 in the chase as the Blues won by five wickets.
