Mr Saunders officially opened the office in Macquarie Street on Monday, however it has been in use for the past three weeks.
“It’s really about having a place for people to come and ask a question or talk about some of the things they might want from their candidate in the election,” he said.
The Nationals candidate said he wanted the campaign office to be in a central location to ensure people who were walking past could see him and drop in. Mr Saunders said he preferred talking to people face-to-face, rather than through social media channels.

When he’s not in the office, the volunteers will be available to take down any comments or concerns to pass on.
Mr Saunders, a former ABC radio presenter, said so far there hadn’t been any issues which had been consistently raised from the constituents.
“Most people are pretty happy with how the electorate has been going, they think it’s going well, but I am keen to hear what people have to say,” he said.
Mr Saunders’ campaign office will be open until the state election in March, 2019, however it will be closed briefly over the Christmas period.
