During a chaotic week of team selection, Dubbo captain Mitch Bower was still uncertain of the final make-up of his team on Friday morning.
The Orange side has also undergone change after last weekend’s President's Cup win over Lithgow, but undoubtedly for the better.
Western Zone guns Matt Corben and Josh Doherty return to the Bluebaggers' side, while the likes of Charlie Greer, Nick Dunlop, Fletcher Rose and Ed Morrish all come in too.
None of them fronted in Orange's win over Lithgow last weekend, but provide an undeniable experience boost.
Doherty will be undoubtedly be key in the batting lineup, as will Corben and experienced representative campaigner Nick Dunlop.
How they perform against a vastly depleted Dubbo bowling attack could go a long way to deciding the match.
The Orange bowling attack is formidable with Kennewell, Fletcher Rose, and Ed Morrish to do the bulk of the work up front while finger spinner Mitch Black will look to follow on from his efforts at Lithgow.
Black bagged an incredible and match-winning 8-19 from seven overs in that game.
After struggles in recent seasons, the win over Lithgow ensured Orange stayed in the somewhat rare situation of being undefeated so far this summer.
The victory over Lithgow followed the outfit’s win over the Blue Mountains.
Orange had the bye in the opening round of the WZPL this season.
The other WZPL match this round sees Parkes and Bathurst, both defeated in round one, meet at Woodward Oval.
Cowra has the bye.
Both matches start at 10am.
