It is significant in fundraising to help families stay together while their seriously ill child goes through treatment.
Established in 1991, McHappy Day has raised more than $42 million for RMHC.
In 2017 alone, the day raised more than $4 million.
McDonald’s restaurants across Australia will participate in the event, including those in Dubbo and Wellington.
Those who buy a Big Mac on Saturday will support the cause, with $2 from every Big Mac sold to go directly to RMHC.
