And it wasn’t just the racing, it was the fashions on the field as well, with the Liberal’s Derby Day best dressed competition one of the most looked at galleries of the week. Have you had a chance to look and vote for your favourite yet?
Kmart and IKEA were popular as well, as we asked some of the big chain stores if they would be coming to Dubbo – while some ruled it out, others were a little more open to the idea of a Dubbo location and are looking into it.
In sport it was all about Jarryn Powyer who was named as captain-coach of the Dubbo CYMS team after Tim Ryan stepped aside.
The new first grade captain-coach at the Fishies has told the Liberal it was “funny how things worked out.”
