The Dubbo junior signed a short term deal with the Sky Blues on Friday morning, drafted in as defensive cover following an injury to Ben Warland.
The deal sees Tratt return to where it all began after he captained Sydney FC to a national youth title in 2014.
It’s an exciting time to join Sydney FC as the Steve Corica sits top of the ladder and has plenty of expectation around it.
“You can see everyone at the club has purpose to what they are doing every day and you feed off that mentally,” Tratt told the club’s official website.
“I would like to get some game time and show what I’ve got and eventually extend that contract.”
Tratt also spent time with Sydney FC’s senior side and the Wellington Phoenix in 2016-17.
After leading the youth side to title glory, Tratt then linked up with the club’s senior side.
He then spent a season with the Wellington Phoenix and after returning home briefly he captained the Sutherland Sharks in the NSW National Premier League 1 last year.
“I’m very happy to be back and to have all my family and friends around me, being family orientated, is a blessing,” Tratt told the club’s official website.
“To be able to play for the biggest club in the country and to be surrounded by family and friends, I couldn’t be happier.”
