The WPCC project comprehensively reveals how the Great War of 1914-1918 changed more than borders and rulers.
It drills down into “how people approached life and what they valued” after the War to End All Wars.
Politics, women’s rights, culture, industry and technology, medicine and societal changes are themes in the exhibition researched, written and curated by WPCC collections officer Jessica Moore.
She said after the war “people wanted to take the power back”.
“The First World War doesn’t just shape the events of the 20th Century, it really creates modernity as we know it,” Ms Moore said.

The exhibition’s official opening has been set down for 2pm on Saturday.
Ms Moore will open the exhibition and provide a curatorial talk.
Refreshments will be served on arrival.
Upon a Broken World: Life after WWI will run until March.
