More than 80 per cent of flights are leaving Dubbo City Regional Airport as scheduled, according to a new report.

Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics has released information on the on-time performance of flights to and from Dubbo airport.
The report shows flights between Dubbo and Sydney from QantasLink and Regional Express are on time for the majority of flights. There are also minimal cancellations.
In September, Rex was more punctual than QantasLink. Of the flights from Dubbo to Sydney, 80 per cent of flights landed at the airport on time, while 85 per cent departed as scheduled.

QantasLink was slightly behind with 78 per cent of arrivals and 82 per cent of take offs on time.
During September there were two cancellations on the route, one apiece from each airline.
Overall, flights left and landed on the tarmac at Dubbo airport on time 84 per cent of the time.
Only Australian domestic routes for which the passenger load averaged 8,000 or more passengers per month were included in the flight data.
“This month’s on time arrivals figure was lower than the long term average performance for all routes (82.6 per cent) and the on time departures figure was also lower than the long term average (83.9 per cent),” the report stated.
“The rate of cancellations was higher than the long term average of 1.4 per cent.”
The punctuality of both the airlines was similar in August and July.
However, in July Dubbo airport was named in the top ten for on time departures with 84 per cent of flights leaving as scheduled.
In the most recent figures, Queensland’s Emerald Airport had the best on time arrival figures, while Alice Spring won the gold for departures.
Ayers Rock Airport, also known as Connellan Airport, was the least punctual with planes leaving on time in 53 per cent of flights. Flights from Sydney to Melbourne had the most cancellations.
