For some students it was their last exam, meaning they’ve finished school, while others still have exams until Friday November 9.
School captain Jack Schwager said the test was “fair” with no “unexpected” questions.
“It will be interesting to see how everyone goes,” Mr Schwager said.
He said he and his peers were relieved to finish school.
“It’s been a long time coming … we get to move on to the next part of our lives which is great.”
Student Charles Spora said the relief of finishing felt “about 10 times better than Christmas morning”.
While he planned to spend the afternoon celebrating Melbourne Cup, he said he was eager to receive his ATAR to gain entry into Dental Science at university.

Emily Foley said she and her friends were “so excited” to be finished they threw out their notes with relief.
Savannah McCarthy-Rooke said her message for incoming year 12 students was, “good luck and remember those quotes”.
St Johns College year 12 coordinator Dianne Quade said she was happy with the exam content this year.
“The papers have been varied; it looks a lot like they’re starting to bring in the changes that NESA (NSW Education Standards Authority) have said will come in next year,” Ms Quade said.
“Some of the papers have tested their literacy skills in regards of the content they’re asking for.
“Students seem to have handled that very very well, they’re quite happy with most of their exams.”
