Dubbo singer Jason Hill will perform this Sunday, on the Channel Seven production. The concept is simple, performers have to impress 100 judges that make up various singers and industry professionals.
Over seven heats, singers will fight for a place in the Grand Final and the chance to win $100,000. Each act will aim to get all 100 on their feet and singing along. The more who join in, the higher the performer scores.
Jason has been performing since he was a teen and plays at local pubs and clubs, plus across the state doing solo shows and with his band, The Hangovers.
The 48-year-old has auditioned for various singing shows in the past, but said he was really pleased with this performance.

“A friend suggested I audition for this particular show,” Jason said. “There was just something about this show that really worked. I really loved it.”
Jason said he can turn up to a gig for 10 people and feel nervous, but that didn’t happen when he sung on All Together Now.
“Being in front of thousands of people wasn’t a big deal. It was more the thrill of it,” he said.
“The people at Endemol Shine at Channel Seven were lovely.. they didn’t stop asking if they could do anything for us, they were just so helpful.
“All together it was a fantastic experience. It was an absolute thrill, I loved every minute of it.”

Before Jason even made it to the television screening audition, he went through two previous auditions.
Jason said it was unlike any of the other talent shows he’s previously auditioned for.
“It’s sort of a no-nonsense show. You’re just performing to get those judges straight up.. there’s no team or record contract, it’s just everyone vying for the $100,000 prize,” he said.
“But with any of the shows with all of the musicians there was also a lot of camaraderie.”
Jason can’t say if he gets through or not, but is hopeful everyone tunes in to watch.
“It was one of the most fun things I’ve ever done,” he said.
Jason’s advice for anyone aspiring to do something but have had knock backs in the past, was to just keep getting up and smashing it.
“It doesn’t matter if you don’t do any good the first time, just get up, dust yourself off and keep slogging away at it and you’ll get some where,” he said.
All Together Now will screen on Sunday, November 11, at 7pm on Channel Seven.
“Honestly when my friend suggested I go on this show I thought I’ve auditioned for some of these telelvision shows before and I’ve walked in the door and they’ve shaken their heads before I even opened my mouth.”
