Before grants and contributions are added in, council’s surplus was $30.5 million at June 30, compared to a $25.1 million surplus in 2016/17.
At the end of 2017/18, Dubbo Regional Council had $2.5 billion in assets, as well as $234 million in cash and investments.
During the 12 months, council received $19.7 million in infrastructure assets from developers as a result of subdivisions. There was also $41.1 million in capital grants, which includes $4.5 million from the NSW government for the Wellington Pool redevelopment and $7.1 million for upgrades at Victoria Park.
