The day began with mass, where the Vietnamese parishioners carried the offertory gifts and the Prayers of the Faithful were shared in different languages. The liturgy finished with everyone singing ‘I Am, You Are, We Are Australian’.
Then Dubbo’s rich culture was celebrated with two-and-a-half hours of dancing, singing and activities.

Father Martin O’Mahoney led an Irish jig and demonstrated the skills of hurling, Sri Lankan, Indian, Philipino and Vietnamese artists shared their wonderful gifts and the parish’s resident Egyptian introduced his Coptic friends in a mist charming presentation.
A team of volunteers prepared a feast for the ages in St Brigid’s Hall for the group to break bread together.
Festival chair Fran Schubert said her team were exhilarated but exhausted after seeing their preparations pan out in such a breathtaking display of missionary discipleship.
