After enjoying the food, markets, music and activities on offer at the Music+Markets in Victoria Park, which included performances by ARIA nominee Mojo Juju, local bands and dancers, residents and visitors lined Talbragar Street to witness the parade.
Festival chairwoman Anne Field told the Daily Liberal before the fesitval that “countless hours” had been spent by committee members. volunteers, partner organisations and sponsors on making the event a success.
“The lantern parade was really popular from the start which is why we made it the centrepiece of everything we do,” she said.
