It is this constant search for betterment that saw REDI.E receive the Rhino Award for Excellence in Innovation, and this award acknowledges the significant contributions REDI.E have made to their industry. Operations Manager, Mellissa Bourke, said that given their organisation spans a huge geographical distance, they needed to find ways to better connect their staff to each other.
“This award acknowledges our work towards improving communication systems within our organisation, to streamline processes and spend more time delivering great programs to our communities,” she said.
“We are constantly looking to raise the bar for the level of services provided. This way we can help build more opportunities for education, training and ultimately employment within the disadvantaged communities in our region,” she said. “We undertook a major technology project and rebuilt our brand within the past year. We’ve improved services, processes and renewed the focus of the organisation”.
Major improvements have been made across the board at REDI.E including dashboards to help better monitor, measure and analyse workloads and to respond to changes, new Intranet, powered by SharePoint, which drives more internal communication between teams and gives staff easier access to key documents, and a Project Planner which allows greater visibility and status on projects and activities.
Mellisa said it was great to see so many other businesses in the category, “We are very fortunate to operate in a region with so many fantastic organisations with innovation as a priority,” she said. “This award is a great source of pride to our team and we see it as evidence that our changes have been well received by the community”.
With staff from different backgrounds, experiences and educational levels, REDI.E works hard to ensure their team leaders have the support they need to provide exceptional services to their communities. Mellisa said success for REDI.E comes from both their staff and clients. “Our staff always go above what is required of them, but we wouldn’t be where we are today without the dedication and effort from the people who participate in our programs”.
