Sarah Stanford, Big Blue Digital’s Marketing Lead and former Operations Manager, took out the award which recognises inspirational business people aged from 18 to 35 years who demonstrate commitment and passion towards building and operating a successful business. This rewards those who demonstrate highly valued traits such as entrepreneurial spirit and strategic direction, and provide inspiration to a new generation of young business people.
Big Blue Digital owners, Brendon and Leanne O’Sullivan, said Sarah thoroughly deserved the award for her continuous efforts towards the positive changes they have made in the business over the past 12 to 18 months. “As a technology focused business, sometimes our internal tech systems overtake simply getting work done. We’ve worked hard to take our own medicine, become more efficient and build a stronger team”.
Sarah refused to take all the credit for the win saying her award was a reflection of how well the business worked together as a team. “Earlier this year I took on the role of Operations Manager and worked closely with the team to identify where resources were poorly utilised or where there were barriers to getting work done. Along with the owner and General Manager we addressed those issues resulting in the team working more efficiently”.
Sarah said that after seeing overall growth in the business and receiving a major funding grant from a technology partner, she is now focused on assisting with specialist client projects around content strategy and design thinking. “For the past few years, we’ve worked more with clients in metropolitan areas, but we’ve seen a real resurgence in the Dubbo business community. Being able to work closely with clients such as REDI.E, the Westhaven Association and Ben Furney Flour Mills makes our job so much easier and better, and we can’t thank all our clients enough for their continual support”.
