While it seems everyday there is a new cafe or coffee shop popping up on every corner, there is still no substitute for quality products and good old fashion customer service, both of which Church St Cafe (CSC) have in spades. CSC won this years People’s Choice for Hospitality at the Dubbo Rhino Awards demonstrating their excellence in the hospitality industry. The win is further recognition for the cafe and owners Errin and Vince Williamson after Errin was named the Young Entrepreneur at the 2017 Western NSW Regional Business Awards, and CSC was featured in the 2017 Good Food Guide Australia.

For close to five years CSC has provided Dubbo locals and visitors a fun and fresh place to dine, relax and socialise, and has also created a new hive of activity within the CBD. Errin said that winning the People’s Choice Award for Hospitality was amazing recognition of the love that they put out to their customers and the family atmosphere that is CSC. “Winning this award is testament to all the hard work and dedication of all our staff out the front and in the kitchen. We love and appreciate each and everyone of you,” she said.
An often quoted rule in business is that you can’t be everything to everyone, however CSC are proving that you can certainly have something to offer for any customer needs. The cafe is open every day of the week, keeping Dubbo supplied with a steady stream of coffee. They also offer breakfast and lunch seven days a week, with dinner from Thursday through to Saturday, including live music and happy hour on Thursdays.
Errin said that their aim is to cater for all customers with amazing service by providing an inviting and engaging experience. “We pride ourselves on the atmosphere and the quality of our food. We are constantly changing our menu to highlight what is in season and to celebrate the best local produce we can find. We try and cater for everyone with plenty of vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and dairy free options”. While focusing on the day to day running of CSC, Errin said they will also be expanding the catering side of CSC.
With 22 staff members split across several shifts, Errin said the staff are the most important part of their business and the reason CSC won their Rhino Award. Their bright and bubbly personalities can make anyone feel at home at CSC. They work so hard everyday and make it such a great experience to be a part of and go to work every day. We would also like to thank our amazing customers who really make CSC just like one big happy family. Without you we wouldn’t be here today and we cannot thank you enough for all of your support,” she said.
