Along the way, Ms Lovett sold five of the six ex-racehorses that carried her and her sighted guides as they travelled through 15 towns in the region.
Ms Lovett said during the Ride Against Cancer no one said no to making a donation. The Binnaway community donated $7000 to the cause, while Dunedoo chipped in $2500.
“Everybody is taxed at the moment. Everyone has a cause but the thing is cancer affects everybody. People said to me 'why do it now when there's a drought?' Well, nobody told cancer we're in a drought,” she said.
The Paralympian said she wanted to travel to the communities that would benefit from the cancer centre.
