POLICE have drawn their tasers on a 57-year-old Wellington man after he allegedly committed a number of serious domestic violence offences.

Police confronted the man on Hawkins Street in Wellington around 10.30pm on Monday night.
“He was armed with a metal pole causing police to draw and aim their tasers,” police officers said on a post to the Orana Mid-Western Police District Facebook page.
“The man was then successfully arrested.”
Officers then commenced a search of the man.
“He was also found in possession of a large knife and other implements that police will allege is capable of being used to commit break and enter offences,” officers said.
“The man was charged with numerous offences: including assault, resist police, breach bail, and breaching an apprehended violence order, and possess house breaking implements.”
The man was refused bail to appear before Dubbo Local Court.
