The childcare centre had earlier in the night won another prestigious award, taking out the Green Rhino for Excellence in Sustainability.
Focusing on businesses that work to reduce the impact of their operations on the environment it was an amazing achievement for the centre that has been doing just that for a number of years.

They had also been nominated as a finalist for the Excellence in Products and/or Service category.
While recognising her staff during her acceptance speech for the gold rhino, centre director Justine Richards said the win had been unexpected for the team, but a pleasant surprise with the centre also celebrating their 10th year of operation in 2018.
She also used her speech in accepting the gold rhino to speak about her passion as an early childhood education and teacher and the way Regand Park was moving towards change for future societies.

She spoke about rural children and the fact they too deserve a voice, and to grow up in a society that will help look after everyone in the future.
It was an important message for the Dubbo business community to hear, and one that was also highlighted when the future generations of Earlyrise Bakery accepted the plaque that inducted their father’s into the Emile Serisier Roll of Honour earlier in the night.
Bill, Rob and John Stevenson from Earlyrise Bakery were announced as the latest inductees onto the Roll of Honour, and while the brothers were unable to attend, their children were there to accept the award on their behalf.
With the Roll of Honour recognising those who demonstrate outstanding entrepreneurial spirit, strategic business direction and innovative ideas, whilst providing inspiration to a new generation of upcoming business leaders, the Earlyrise Bakery brothers showed they are doing just that.
Working with the community from the start, the brothers have a long history in business in the Dubbo community, and as their children showed they are continuing to inspire the next generation.
Congratulations once again to all the winners this year – we look forward to 2019!
