Tara Fisher and Penny Gibbs braved the inclement weather in Victoria Park and did not let the rain dampen their enthusiasm for the ginger prince and his bride.
The Dubbo friends and their children got to Victoria Park a bit late because their kids slept in.
“We arrived in Victoria Park at at 930 am because we let our kids sleep in, but we are happy with our spot,” Tara said.
“We wanted a nice shady spot because it is a hot day.
“It would be a bonus if we got to meet Harry, but it will be good to just see him and Meghan.”
Penny said she was hoping to shake Meghan’s hand when they arrived at the park.
“Meghan is a great role model for young girls and women our age,” she said.
“She makes me proud to be a woman.
“Meghan has talked about being a strong woman and not to be afraid to use your voice as a woman to speak up about things that are wrong in the world.
“I feel like I’d like to follow the royal family now because of Harry and Meghan. It’s a great day in Victoria Park in Dubbo, and we are happy to be here.”
