Cancer Council advocate Susie Hill said she was encouraging community members to come along to the launch of Saving Life 2019 at the Orana Relay for Life at 4pm.
“All are welcome and we hope many will be in attendance to hear about the campaign,” Ms Hill said.
She said the launch was a great opportunity for the local candidates to hear first-hand experiences about the issues and for them to meet people affected by cancer.
“We’re pleased Stephen Lawrence from the NSW Labor Party and Independent Mathew Dickerson will join us to hear about our Saving Life 2019 agenda and outline the role they will play, if elected to represent the people of Dubbo, in bringing about the changes needed for our community,” Ms Hill said.
“Outgoing MP Troy Grant will be in attendance and Nationals candidate Dugald Saunders has been invited.”
Cancer Council’s Western NSW community programs coordinator Camilla Thompson said Saving Life 2019 addressed problems that increased the risk of cancer and impact people who’ve experienced cancer.
“The next State Government has the power to deliver solutions to thee problems that will make a huge difference to people in Dubbo and across NSW. Change starts with our local candidates at the Saving Life 2019 launch,” Ms Thompson said.
