Dubbo’s rainfall tally for October 2018 officially climbed to 68 millimetres (mm) by 2pm on Wednesday after a thunderstorm hit the city.

The Bureau of Meteorology reported of 2.8mm falling before 9am on Wednesday.
A further 2.4mm was collected at the automatic weather station at Dubbo City Regional Airport between 9am and 2pm on Wednesday.
Dubbo received 17.6mm in the 24-hour period to 9am on Thursday, October 4.
A whopping 45.2mm fell in the following 24 hours.
The 68mm of rain collected by the bureau by 2pm Wednesday is 22.4mm more than average rainfall of 45.6mm for Dubbo during the month of October.
The bureau’s seven-day forecast for Dubbo as of Wednesday suggests its rainfall tally will grow slightly.
There is a 30 per cent of up to 2mm falling on both Thursday and Friday, 30 per cent of up to 1mm on Saturday and a 40 per cent chance of up to 4mm on Tuesday.
By 2pm on Wednesday the city had received 186.2mm this year, well below the average 446.8mm for the first 10 months of the year.
