The Banksia Project will facilitate their Garden Room ‘Harvesting Health’ event at Dubbo RSL on Wednesday at 6.30pm.
The event will focus on men’s mental health in rural communities and provide an open forum for community members to gather and discuss their experiences.
Program Director Jack Jones said anyone was welcome to attend the free community event.
“It’s for everyone, it’s regarding men’s mental health but it’s a conversation that requires the whole community.”

Mr Jones said the event would focus on men’s mental health in rural communities and would provide a panel discussion and an opportunity for individuals to talk about their mental health.
“Our events and our organisation is a preventative mental health charity, we run services that support individuals before they get to crises rather than being a reactive service,” Mr Jones said.
“Our garden room tomorrow night is putting Dubbo panellists on stage to talk about their own lived experience or their professional expertise regarding mental health.
“Its to normalise the conversation about their experiences and to help others who may be going through challenges.”
Mr Jones said their services have a practical foundation.
“Our services take an approach that goes beyond awareness and we provide practical tools to improve mental health and wellness,” Mr Jones said.
