OCCUPANTS involved in an accident between a truck and a utility on the Newell Highway near Parkes have been transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene at 1.45pm on Monday follow reports of the collision.
“The occupants were transported to Parkes Hospital for further medical assessments, after sustaining minor injuries,” a post to the Parkes Fire and Rescue NSW Facebook page stated.
Parkes firefighters also cleaned up a diesel spill on the highway following the collision
The highway was closed for a short time and traffic control measures were in place during the recovery of the vehicles.
