The app makes getting around a breeze with an interactive map and up to date information on keeper talks, feeding times and animal encounters.
Plus you can choose your own self-guided adventure with recommended ‘must-see’ moments, or create your own from your favourite activities.
“This is the first app the Zoo has launched and we are excited to see what our visitors think over the coming months,” said Zoo Director, Steve Hinks.
“It really is an interactive pocket guide to Taronga Western Plains Zoo, which can show you your location, give directions and estimate distances between animals and facilities.”
“It also allows guests to plan their adventure and set pop-up reminders about keeper talks and tours they are interested in,” said Steve.
The new app is also a great way to learn more about the hundreds of animals that call the Zoo home, as well as ways visitors can act for the wild in their own homes.
The app is available for Apple and Android and can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.
