Held in honour of two extremely dedicated club members who died after battles with cancer, the day has raised more than $50,000 in the past 20 years.
The Dubbo Oncology Unit was the beneficiary in the early years, before it was decided to donate the proceeds to Camp Quality.
“We know with Camp Quality that the money will stay local,” president Ken Bailey said.
“It’s a fantastic effort because our club is actually struggling to get enough tennis players, but it looks like we will also be playing croquet on our tennis courts and the croquet players turned up in huge numbers and probably made it one of the biggest charity days attendance-wise.”
He credited club stalwarts Margaret Rottes and Anne Barwick for the continuing success of the day, and thanked local businesses for their support.
