Lillimur Op Shop supervisor Robyn Fisher, the woman behind the display, put out tea, biscuits, and mannequins of Prince Harry and Meghan along books, magazines and pictures of the Royal family to celebrate their forthcoming visit.
Ms Fisher said she was excited about the upcoming royal visit and what it meant for Dubbo.
“If we don’t get a public holiday, I’ll shut the shop to go anyway,” Ms Fisher said.
“It’s definitely going to be good for business, no doubt about it.
“I was here when the Queen visited Dubbo, I worked at city centre then, it was dead-quiet down the main street during the visit, but then after there was people everywhere.”
Ms Fisher has seen the Queen twice before.
“It was wonderful, I saw her as a little girl in 1954 where the opera house is now in Sydney, when she got off the boat. I think I've been a royal watcher ever since,” she said.
“I was here in 1992, I saw the Queen down Macquarie Street that time, you only get a glimpse but it’s just enough to give you a bit of a boost, to make you excited.
“These young ones are just marvellous, they’re just lovely.”
She said she tried to make the display look inviting.
“I’ve got a lot of old books at home of Kate and William, Prince Charles and the Queen’s visits, so I've displayed those,” Ms Fisher said.
“If they come in for a cuppa, I’ll give them one.”
Ms Fisher said the feedback for display had been wonderful.
“A lot of people have come in and mentioned it and said how nice it was.”
