The recently released latest album ‘from the backcountry’, is his first set of new songs in seven years.
Recorded with renowned producer Matt Fell, the album is a journal of Graeme’s explorations over that period.
No stranger to Dubbo, Graeme is coming back to the city on Thursday, October 18 to play at the Dubbo RSL, a venue he says has really looked after him.
“I’m really looking forward to coming back out. I’m no stranger to Dubbo, I’ve been there several times before,” he said.
Graeme will be in town the day before the anticipated arrival of Prince Harry and Meagan Markle and said there was some trouble getting accommodation, but thankfully he was able to find a place to stay.
With Graeme for the tour is crew members, musicians and his wife.
“We’ve got it down to an art,” he laughed about touring.
“We (Graeme and his wife) like to add a day or two to soak up the scenery.

“It’ll be a two hour show because there’s so much to get through. But audiences are very loyal.”
Unless you’re the flavour of the month it can be hard to get exposure, which was why touring was a great way to get your music out to the public, Graeme said.
“If you chase the market you’ll always be behind the market. You’ve got to ride the waves of the industry,” he said.
