The 2018 Relay for Life will be held at Barden Park on October 20 and 21, starting at 3pm on the Saturday. The committee is hoping to raise at least $50,000 for Cancer Council NSW, which will go to local projects such as the recently launched Transport to Treatment.
This year’s event will include plenty of activities from tug-of-war to Zumba classes to face painting. There will be performances from Jo Hyndes, Turn On the Lights, Simon Allen and the Unclaimed Millions, and One Proud Monkey.
A Survivors and Carers afternoon tea will be held at 3.15pm, while the HOPE ceremony is scheduled for 7.30pm.
Anyone wanting to participate can register or join a team by going to www.relayforlife.org.au/orana. Registration is $20 per person which includes an official Relay For Life shirt and healthy breakfast on the Sunday morning of relay.
Further information on the event is also available by contacting Cancer Council NSW on 6392 0800.
