Ms Lyons, who shops every Thursday at Woolworths at Riverdale Shopping Centre, said she only shops there and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else.
“I love everyone from here, I love Dubbo, it’s like family,” Ms Lyons said.
She said she was thrilled by the cake and celebrations.
Woolworths staff member Debbie Hambrook organised the event and said Ms Lyons was well-liked by the staff.
“She’s been coming here for a long long time. We know Emily, we know what she orders, what she doesn’t like, we prepare it all for her every week.
“She has her days, she’s 95, I just wanted to wish her the best birthday.”
Ms Lyons told the tales of her past about her family background, American Indian heritage, growing up in the circus, how she maintains a nomadic and sustainable lifestyle, how she has stayed healthy and being known as the “Duchess of Dubbo” who has spoken on the ABC.
