One man has been charged for allegedly hiding in a business after hours while police have also appealed for the public’s help to solve another matter after a weekend of 33 arrests in the Orana Mid-Western Police District.

About 8.30pm on Sunday a man was arrested and charged after being found hiding in a Wheelers lane business after hours.
Police allege the 43-year-old Narromine man concealed himself within the store before closing time.
“Shortly after the business was shut for the day, the alarms were activated and security summoned police, who entered the premises and located him attempting to hide himself under clothing,” Orana Mid-Western Police District Sergeant Adam Wood said.
“Upon arrest police searched a red and black backpack. A number of identifications relating to a number of other persons were found subject to the goods and custody charges …. police believe [them] to be stolen or otherwise unlawfully obtained,” Sgt Wood said.
In another matter police have appealed for the public’s help to assist with their investigation into the damage of a fence at an East Street address.
About 5.30pm police attended the school after receiving reports four young persons were using an excavator on-site.
“Police allege they managed to start the excavator that was on scene for renovations, driving the excavator through the security fence, where they abandoned the vehicle and were last seen running west along East Street.
Additionally two young persons were arrested after allegedly throwing rocks at a house in Illoura Street, Dubbo.
“About 4pm they threw a number of rocks at the house causing a window to smash, the two young persons were arrested, taken to Dubbo Police Station,” Sgt Wood said.
“One young person received a youth caution and the other person was charged with one count of malicious damage to appear at Dubbo Children's Court on Monday.”

Over the weekend fourteen arrests were made in Dubbo charges across the district included domestic violence, stalking and intimidation, affray, possessing of knives, breaching bail, take and drive conveyance and minor drug matters.
