The event began on Friday, September 14 and will run until Sunday, September 16 at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre.
When Fairfax Media visited the event on Friday morning it was abuzz with crafters of all ages and skill levels.
“We think this is the best show yet,” CraftAlive event manager Sally Taylor said.
“I don’t think we could of filled another stall.”
Exhibitors have come from far and wide, including Sydney, Victoria and Queensland.
Ms Taylor said she expected a total of three thousand people from across the central west to make their way through the doors over the three days.

“We’ve even noticed a lot of young people coming through,” she said.
“While there’s always grandparents coming along with their grandchildren, there are those aged in their 20s who want to learn traditional techniques and the modern things too.”
Ms Taylor belive craft remains relevant today because people want to create something personal to them.
“It’s a bit of an escape too,” she said.
“But the beauty of it is you have something at the end.”
There were stalls with workshops running for the three days with a lot of ‘make it, take home’ classes.
“Which is a chance for people to try something.. there’s classes for beginners plus all skills and levels,” Ms Taylor said.
This was Chris Gould, from Sew and Sew Sisters, Canberra second time to the Dubbo CraftAlive show and she said it was nice to be able to come to the city.
Similarly Down Patchwork Lane’s Tamara St Remy, from Penrith, said everyone was so nice and very welcoming.
