The club extends its gratitude to Brennan’s Mitre 10 for providing prizes for the various winners over the weekend.
The club is also grateful to those members who gave their time to do all the work that had to be done to ensure the success of the championships. Helen and Peter Lord, Margi Stevens, Jim Strachan, Peter Howell, Glen and Debbie Kiem, Terry and Julie Greer, Warren Johnson and Paul Williamson are some names that come to mind.
Last Sunday was a more sedate affair with only a few members turning out for a 25 Metre Standard Pistol match. Ned Williams took top honours with a handicap saving 594 (468, 126).
Phil Lovemore was close behind with 590 (360, 230) and Vanessa Hey third with 518 (242, 276). Other results were John Cohen 306 (114, 192), Darryl Collins 448 (176, 272) and Bruce Dowling 479 (386, 93). Warren Johnson was Range Officer.
Next weekend’s agenda includes the first meeting of the new committee at 11am at the clubhouse.
A 25 Metre Centrefire/Sports Pistol match on Range ‘C’ and a 25 Metre Black Powder in all its odorous glory on Range ‘B’. So, all you powder monkeys, get your blunderbusses out and get ready for a bit of competition.
