The entertaining musical is an adaptation of Lewis Caroll’s Alice in Wonderland. It will feature all the favourites such as Callum Ryan as the Mad Hatter, Eliza Johnston as the White Rabbit and Queen of Hearts Imogen Walker.
Isabelle Wheatley, who plays Small Alice, said it had been hard learning to sing in the right pitch, especially when it was a different level to other people on the stage. However, she said audiences would love having two Alices in the play.
Saphira Barton, the other Alice, said she was expecting some nerves on the big day.
“Before I go on stage in front of an audience I get butterflies in my stomach. But that’s normal,” she said.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
This is the first time either Alice has been in a musical.
Saphira said her favourite musical had been Dubbo College’s Man of Steel.
Isabelle, however, was confident Wonder in Aliceland would be even better.
Dubbo Public School’s production of Wonder in Aliceland will be held at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre. There will be two performances: a matinee at 11am an evening show at 7pm.
Tickets are available on the DRTCC website or at the Box Office.
