Prince Harry and new wife Meghan Markle will arrive in the city on Wednesday, October 17, the second day of their tour.
Kensington Palace released the tour schedule on Monday night.
Within hours and a whole hemisphere away, local users of social media shared the Daily Liberal story far and wide.
Many were already planning to catch a glimpse of the royal couple - or even inviting them to their home.
In a post to the Daily Liberal Facebook page, Lizzie Palmer suggested to a friend to “invite them round for a cuppa”.
In a similar vein, Seamus Kelly told friends to “put on the kettle”.
Jessica Kelly made plans with a friend to “meet you in Dubbo”.
Sandy Dekleva even came up with a concept for a new workplace entitlement - “stalk the royals leave”.

Others reminisced about past royal tours.
Kim Wheatland recalled the day they closed a main street pharmacy to watch the Queen when she came to Dubbo.
Lea Garrard shared a recollection from the day.
“...all of a sudden we heard the Queen’s car was going past the next street so ran down for a look,” she said.
“Pretty sure she waved to me (that’s the story I’m sticking to).”
Prince Harry, the sixth in line to the throne, married former American actress Meghan Markle on May 19.
