Traveling to Gulgong to take on the Terriers for the right to play Gilgandra in the final, the Swans leaked 16 unanswered points early in Saturday’s clash.
The Terriers enjoyed the vast majority of the possession during that time, but met with little resistance as they easily strolled up field to gain great field position and scoring opportunities which they readily accepted.
Midway through the first half some meaningful possession came the Swans’ way and they were able to show their attacking wares, which resulted in two converted tries.
Gulgong struck again before the break to make it 22-12.
The Swans came out firing in the second half and they had numerous opportunities to increase their score as they pressured the Terriers try line time and time again.
But it came to nought and a late Gulgong try sealed a 28-12 victory.
The Terriers will now travel to take on the Gilgandra Panthers at McGrane Oval in what should be a gripping grand final on Saturday.
The sides have met on three occasions so far this year, with the Terriers winning two of those.
Gulgong will play in two deciders on Saturday as they will also take on Coonabarabran in the youth league decider after downing Cobar in the preliminary decider.
Baradine defeated the Gilgandra Pink Panthers on Saturday to set up a league tag decider clash with Coonamble.
Grand final action starts at 11.30am.
