Emergency services attended a Bass Place address twice over the weekend, the first time for the house fire and the second time when the fire reignited.

About 2.45am on Saturday morning emergency services attended the fire.

Orana Mid-Western Police District Sergeant Adam Wood said police found the house “destroyed by fire”.

“Investigations are continuing into how the fire originated and police are looking for witnesses to come forward with any information,” he said.

Emergency services then re-attended the same location on Sunday about 10am when the fire reignited.

Police believe the cause of the second fire was not suspicious.

Dubbo Fire Station Commander John Poulus said about 10 staff utilised two trucks and one HAZMAT van on Sunday.

They have urged anyone with information to contact Dubbo Police Station on 6883 1599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
