A man appeared in court on Friday after being charged with two armed robberies and carjackings in Dubbo.

About 7.45pm on Saturday, September 1, a man armed with a knife threatened a 64-year-old man as he sat in his vehicle in a car park on Macquarie Street.
The man allegedly demanded the car keys and made an unsuccessful attempt to steal the vehicle before fleeing on foot.
The 64-year-old man was treated for minor injuries.

On Wednesday, September 5, a man approached an 85-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman in a car park on Whylandra Street.
The man allegedly threatened the 85-year-old with a knife, and stole their Toyota Camry.
About 1.45am on Thursday 6 September 2018, police from Orana Mid Western Police District saw the Toyota Camry and initiated a short pursuit before it was terminated.
Following extensive inquiries, he was arrested later that morning and taken to Dubbo Police Station.
A 21-year-old man was charged with 11 offences including:
- armed with intent commit indictable offence (x2);
- recruit child to carry out/assist criminal activity;
- robbery armed with offensive weapon (x2);
- aggravated assault with intent to take/drive motor vehicle armed with weapon (x2);
- steal motor vehicle (x2);
- police pursuit not stop drive recklessly;
- possess prohibited drug.
He appeared in Dubbo Local Court on Friday, where he was refused bail to appear before the same court on Wednesday, November 7.
Following inquiries, police located a Toyota Corolla reported stolen, at Highview Place.
A warrant was executed at this location and a 27-year-old man was arrested.
He was charged with receiving stolen property where stealing a serious indictable offence.
The man was granted conditional bail and is due to appear in Dubbo Local Court on Wednesday, October 31.
