Law Council of Australia calls on Government to include legal funding, strategies in its drought response:
They say the drought has caused farmers to face financial hardships and are struggling to afford a lawyer.
President, Morry Bailes said the government’s drought response must consider what kind of legal needs farmers and their communities have, which is often overlooked.
Jillian Kilby, Rural Women’s Award finalist, aims to help empower women:
Earlier this year Ms Kilby was announced as the 2018 NSW/ACT AgriFuturesTM Rural Women’s Award Winner and National Finalist.
In October she will head to Parliament House in Canberra, where the national winner runner-up will be announced.
Tickets go gang busters for the Coonamble Raindance Ball:
After a great response from locals and the wider community, tickets to the Coonamble Raindance Ball have completely sold out.
Approximately 900 tickets to the inaugural fundraiser were sold.
Outback trek raises over $400,000 for community groups:
