Taking Shape boutique hosted an event with platters, wine and clothing for the guests in need of relief from the drought.
The store located in Macquarie Street contacted farming charity Aussie Helpers to help it with the invitation list.
Customers were asked to donate pre-loved clothing in excellent condition, and the boutique’s head office also sent samples of new clothing.
“We wined, dined and fitted our guests, and put a smile on their face,” manager Lyndel Scott said.
A second event is being held on Friday night.
Burgun and Brennan Optometrists, Macquarie St Tobacconist and Giftware, and Prestige Jewellers donated lucky door prizes and The Centre Spot and Little Darling Cafe contributed platters.
