And after falling short against Saint Collegians on Saturday – their first loss in almost two seasons – the Heat now get their second chance against club mates Fusion Giants.
“To be honest I think a loss at this stage was good for us,” Heat captain Tash Robinson said.

“I don’t think the confidence is going to leave us but for the younger girls, it’s not such a bad thing for them to buckle under the pressure now so they know what they could be up against in the grand final.”
The Giants will have a big task ahead of them; they suffered a heavy 70-28 defeat at the hands of the Heat less than two weeks ago.
But Robinson warned the Giants were not to be underestimated, with a squad teeming with highly skilled, albeit young players.
Saturday’s preliminary final starts at 12.45pm.
