Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift appeal area coordinator Sylvia Paice is inviting people at Dubbo to take part once more.
Last year the region, from Cobar in the west to Wellington in the east, put together 1886 shoeboxes, she said.
Each one contained items from six groups, including something to love, like a teddy or doll, something for school, something to play with, something to wear, something for personal hygiene and then something special.
Mrs Paice said many people who took part one year returned the next.
“It’s easy and practical and they want to do it again,” she said.
Showboxes can be obtained at the Salvation Army Family Store on Cobbora Road or the Christian Book Store, by visiting operationchristmaschild.org.au, or contacting Mrs Paice on 0421 358 972.
Boxes need to be returned by the end of October.
