The Long Limbs Trauma Training for youth workers and clinicians will be held on September 5 and 6 while the free Survivors of Complex Training workshop will be held on Friday, September 7 for survivors, families and friends.
Both workshops will take place at the Dubbo Neighborhood Centre.
The Survivors workship for people with recent and past trauma will assist in understanding the way in which trauma affects the developing brain and exploring the concept of neuroplasticity, helping you lay down new pathways in the brain.
It will also identify the evolutionary responses to threat and why safety is important and how you can increase your sense of safety.
It will also show you how to develop strategies for self soothing and settling, and ways to be gentle with yourself.
