Sheep, cattle and crop farmer Kieran Turnbull said at this point “every little bit helps”.
“The amount doesn’t matter, it’s that people on the eastern seaboard are thinking of people in the west.
“This will keep me going for another couple of weeks.
“We’ve been fortunate to get a fall of rain in last 24 hours and hopefully get another lot next week, we’ll be bobbing our way out of this hopefully, maybe, if it keeps raining.”
He said he was thankful to the people who dedicated their time and money to the drought-relief drive.
“I’ve had plenty in place for this drought but got through that pretty quickly,” Mr Turnbull said.
Organiser Leeanne Oldfield said the drive had delivered enough resources to reach about 80 farmers.
“My main mission was if i can just stop one farmer from committing suicide, my job here is done.”
The drive is back to fund raising in the hopes of returning in October.
