This weekend’s grand final between Orange Emus and Bathurst Bulldogs will be Thomas’ third first grade decider in the last four years, a nod to his continued performance with whistle in hand.
As the No.1 ranked referee in the region Thomas controlled last weekend’s preliminary final between Bulldogs and Cowra and before that, the minor semi-final between the Eagles and Forbes.
He’ll have Jarrod Simpson and Pete Egan on the touchlines this weekend at Endeavour Oval.
Simpson was also appointed to the colts decider between Dubbo Kangaroos and the Orange City Lions, while Richard Madden has been given the whistle for second grade and Vittorio Travan thirds.
Evelyn George will officiate the Westfund Ferguson Cup decider between Bathurst Bulldogs and CSU Bathurst.
