Its director of regional development Megan Dixon said growers could learn more about export opportunities at IFEX 2018 in the city of Chiba.
“Austrade will provide support to the selected Australian businesses exhibiting at the show and share the costs across all participants,” she said.
Mrs Dixon said the organiser of the trade show was planning to provide a free trade space to the embassies of countries which were key flower and plant exporters to help promote the event.
“This will make it more economical for flower growers to participate,” she said.

“IFEX will have exhibitors and buyers from many other countries. It will also be a good opportunity to see what’s offered locally and to see products from other countries.”
The event, showcasing plants and related products and services as well as cut flowers, will be held in October.
RDA Orana reports of “strong market interest” in native and unique plants of Australia.
