A new purpose-built facility will be built on White Street next to the Darby Close location of the village, to service and maintain new trains.
Village residents expressed objections about noise, dust and increased traffic at a meeting on Friday.
No resident wanted to be named, but plenty had an opinion.
“The facility will be too noisy and it will interrupt our peaceful living environment at the village,” one resident said.
“It will be noisy when it is getting built and it will be noisy once it is running, I live here for the quiet, this has made me very cranky.”
Another resident declared her anxiety over the increased traffic the facility would bring.
“I don't want to be taking on trucks in my little car trying to get out onto White Street,” she said.
“My main concern is the dust that will blow right across the village,” another resident said.

However, not all resident’s were opposed to the project.
“Look it is progress, and it will be good for Dubbo, it’ll bring jobs and other benefits, we have no problems with it,” three male residents said.
A spokesperson for NSW Transport said they are committed to minimising impacts to residents throughout the project.
“Working closely and effectively with the local community is a priority for us and a plan to manage noise will be prepared and implemented,” the spokesperson said.
