LARGE parts of the Central West received rainfall on Monday morning with some locations receiving more rain in 24 hours than they have in the past month.

Orange received the heaviest downfall, with 19.4 millimetres recorded up to 11.30am on Monday, data from the Bureau of Meteorology shows.
Also receiving some much-needed rain was Bathurst with 10.4mm recorded, followed by Wellington (9mm), Mudgee (8.6mm), Parkes (7.6mm) and Dubbo (7.4mm).
Rain also fell in Lithgow, with 6mm recorded up to 9am on Monday.
Drought-affected farms further west received very little rain.
Nyngan had just 4mm, followed by Cowra with just 3.6mm, then Grenfell (1mm), Forbes (0.4m) and Young (0.2mm).
Meanwhile, the Federal Government might have announced a raft of measures and funding for farmers, but some say more assistance is needed.
Drought awareness campaigner Edwina Robertson was among those the announcement in Trangie on Sunday she and broke down in tears recounting the people she had met through her One Bucket Tour around NSW.
Snow forecast for region
Wide parts of the Central Tablelands may receive snow on Tuesday with temperatures set to plummet.
Snow is possible in areas including: Orange, west of Lithgow, Jenolan Caves, Oberon, Shooters Hill and Crookwell.
