In a statement released on Friday, the council declared its intention to put out the welcome mat for passengers of Fly Corporate’s inaugural flight into Dubbo at 10am on Tuesday.
Once their feet are on the ground, they will get a gift “from the Dubbo region”.
The mayor said there was no doubt that the community valued direct access to Brisbane.

Council is paying the fares of Cr Shields, Cr Mohr and Mr McMahon.
“Dubbo Regional Council has funded the fares for its representatives and is proud to be supporting the new carrier,” the statement advised.
