Racing returns under lights after a couple weeks off and there will be plenty of interest around the numerous heats over 400m for dogs with one to four career wins.
The one to four win events make-up three of the 10 races to be run on Friday night.
The likes of in-form local trainers Charmaine Roberts and Daniel Foley will be in action while many others from all around the region will also be in action.
The bulk of the dogs taking part are up-and-comers still early in their career while there are a number of others who are more experienced campaigners looking for a return to form.
“It just keeps the younger ones in their own grade,” Dubbo Greyhound Racing Club president Shayne Stiff said of the series.
“They’re racing dogs like themselves and there’s not a bad spread there. It’s a good mix.”
The second heat arguably features the more exciting up-and-comers with Graham Pickering’s Nangar Dash going for a fourth win in six career starts.
The Buck Fever X Fancy Nangar bitch has only missed a place once in her five starts and is stepping up after wins at Coonamble and Tamworth.
That race also features Jamie Bush’s promising Dupiter, who has three wins and four placings from 10 starts while there is certain to be a lot of interest in Bogan Villa.
Bogan Villa, trained by Graham Dixon, has two wins and three placings in nine starts. One of those wins came at Wentworth Park while the Dixon-trained bitch, who will jump from box one, has also placed at Bulli.
Dixon also has a chance in the first heat, with Bogan Flash going from box three. Bogan Flash has solid form over the 400m and has recorded three wins in his 22-start career.
Roberts’ Cliff Keeping shapes as the one to beat in the event, having scored an eye-catching win at Maitland last start.
The third and final of the one to four wins events is an open affair, with a number of promising dogs in action.
Mia Mia Mimi may have just one win 36 starts but she has placed over the distance last two starts at the Dubbo track.
